Problem in Hydrogen Production

Grey Hydrogen

  • 95% of all hydrogen is grey with high emissions
  • Cost: $1-2.1 per kg
  • Produced from steam reforming of natural gas
  • For every 1 kg of H₂, 14 kg of CO₂ released

Green Hydrogen

  • Highly expensive due to high energy consumption
  • Cost: $3.6-5.8 per kg
  • Using purified H₂O with ~65% efficiency
  • Wastage of limited fresh water resources

Industrial Hazard

  • Natural gas mines contain 28% deadly H₂S gas

Single beaker test of electrocatalyst successfully performed at lab [TRL-3] and tested by dissolving H₂S in alkali solution in two beaker cell (H-CELL) [TRL-4].

IOCL Partnership

Got support of IOCL Panipat to understand regulatory measures. Tested industrial grade H₂S.

Strategic Incubation

Got incubation at LOG9 (India's first Li-ion manufacturing company) for further development and partnered with Ion-Exchange for tech support.

Developed scalable compact electrolyzer stack with changeable anode [TRL-5].

Pilot Plant Approval

Got Letter of Intent to setup pilot at one of the largest refineries in India, Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) Panipat.
